Anne Hathaway

Last month, Mr. Valentino and Mr. Giammetti welcomed two passengers aboard the TM Blue: Actress Anne Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman. Hathaway, who returns to her romantic comedy movie roots this month in Nancy Meyers’ The Intern, is part of the Valentino/Giammetti family—so much so, in fact, that Mr. Valentino has said he considers her “like a daughter.” The two have been close since Mr. Valentino appeared in The Devil Wears Prada, the film that made Hathaway a bonafide superstar. Since then, Hathaway has made a regular habit of wearing Valentino to major events, like the 2011 Academy Awards, or her wedding to Shulman, for which Mr. Valentino created a custom blush-colored gown. And when Mr. Valentino was inducted into the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style in Beverly Hills, Hathaway was the woman who presented him with his award.

In August, Hathaway met the TM Blue in Ibiza, where she snorkeled and took in the sun with husband, and accompanied Mr. Valentino and the gang to the legendary Pacha nightclub. It was a rare moment of relaxation for one of Hollywood’s most hard-working actresses: Hathaway remains a superstar due to her expansive range, which allows her to topline movies as varied as The Dark Knight Rises, in which she played sly and sexy Catwoman, to the musical Lés Miserables, for which won the Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal of the tragic Fantine. In The Intern, Hathaway goes back to the milieu of The Devil Wears Prada—the fashion world. But this time, rather than playing the beleaguered assistant, Hathaway takes the role of The Boss, the founder of a fashion start-up with assistants of her own. (The film’s twist? Her intern is played by none other than Robert De Niro.) Hathaway is all grown up now, in other words—and she’ll prove it in one of her next major roles, as the star of the television miniseries The Ambassador’s Wife. Perhaps this ambassador’s wife will be clad in Valentino…
