Valentino : Master of Couture

Valentino presented his lanst couture show in 2008, but the man himself is still going strong—he turned a sprightly 80 this year—as is the brand he built (see page 92).

Those eager to revisit some of the remarkable Roman's classic designs, including a Jackie Kennedy wedding dress and a Julia Roberts red-carpet showstopper, can pop down to Somerset House on London's Embankment and take in the splendours of Valentino: Master of Couture.

The exhibition comprises same 130 pieces spanning his entire career, and runs from November 29 to March 3, 2013.

Tickets cost £12.50, which is probably about a thousandth of the price of any at the frocks on display.
